Detailed description of Glenview Park Golf Club
Glenview Park Golf Club, originally named Chesterfield Golf Course, is a Public 18 hole golf course located in Glenview, Illinois.
The course first opened for play in 1927 and was designed by Joseph A. Roseman. Larry Packard redesigned this course in 1961, followed by Ken Killian in 1985 and Rick Jacobson in 2015.
Since 1955, when the Glenview Park District purchased the Chesterfield Golf Course and began operating it as the Glenview Park Golf Club, the course has been continually upgraded and improved
Par for the course is 70. From the back tees the course plays to 6,113 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 4874 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 7, a par-5 that plays to 527 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 17, a par-3 that plays to 140 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 5, a 420 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Glenview Park Golf Club is # 17, the 140 yard par-3.
This shoemakers' course was designed with the average golfer in mind. The terrain is flat, and water hazards (ponds) come into play several times.

Very nice staff; greens sometimes not in the best shape but overall a good place to play.

The course reopened last year after a remodeled. All the tees, fairways and greens are brand new and the course is in great condition. The greens are the best I've played on in the area, smooth and fast. All the sand traps have been redone, now with lips. #7 has been redesigned and is now a very challenging par 5. It's not a long course, however, it's a challenge with some tight fairways and smallish greens. If you haven't played Glenview Park Golf Club since it's reopened, I would recommend playing it again, you may be pleasantly surprised.
